My Story
I graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology in the fall of 2018. I studied Computational Media (CM), a major that was (and still may be) unique to Georgia Tech. The reason I was drawn to CM instead of Computer Science (CS) was because it emphasized the importance of design and media in the coding world, rather than focusing purely on the technical side.

I grew up creating short films with whatever I could get my hands on -- at the time that meant using cameras built into games like The Sims or capturing stop motion videos with legos puppeted on strings. In my alone time, I was also constantly writing: novels, poems, short stories, etc. When I was with friends and family, I was always coming up with games for us to play. My creative side has always been vibrant, and I wanted to ensure that it stayed in place as I continued on to college.

Majoring in CM allowed me to foster connections that eventually led me to my first full time job at Primal Screen, a small animation studio based in Atlanta, Georgia that had been around since the mid 90s. I went from interning to freelancing to then working full time with them for a total of about six years from 2018-2024. The company shut down mid 2024, but I walked away with a plethora of new skills and with the confidence to step into the freelance developer world on my own.

I'm used to working closely with designers, animators, producers, writers, illustrators, and more. As a result, I have fallen in love with the processes of both web and game development from the brainstorming and ideation stages, all the way to the product's launch. I am confident in my ability to deliver custom products that cater to exactly what my clients need, and encourage open communication and feedback throughout the journey.
